Visited Leonardslee Gardens today – it was pretty steep! The lakes are at the bottom of a valley with lots of rhodedendrons and camellias growing up the hillsides. Lots of hydrangeas too – odd how they’re making a come-back because they used to be something elderly folk had in their gardens. I’m thinking about getting one. Maybe that means I’m pretty elderly now too!

There are also……wallabies there!

I think I would probably describe the place as a woodland/forest garden, and it is probably best to visit when the rhodedendrons are flowering, but we had a very enjoyable day wandering round a surprisingly quiet place.
