I visited Chelsea Physic Garden yesterday with a friend. I’ve been meaning to go for years, but because they don’t open on a Saturday, I’ve not been able till now. I’ve always been interested in the medicinal/health giving properties of plants – I just find the history and the breadth of cures amazing. I guess that’s why I hope that we haven’t destroyed all of the possible cures in the rainforests around the world.
It was lovely. A little green garden in the middle of London. A lot of the plants were quite small though, and could easily be put in a suburban back garden…..

Zinnia elegans
Ginkgo biloba – I think these might be aerial roots?
Echinacea purpurea
Catharanthus roseus
So cute!
I want to grow one of these in a squeezable pot!
Good size oranges for a plant outdoors
Ceiba pentandra – the spikes on the main trunk were scary!
